With extensive experience in traditional and greenfield energy markets, Nayem has successfully managed an energy portfolio exceeding $1 billion in power assets. His expertise spans asset management, transportation, storage, natural gas trading, and energy management advisory services.

Nayem leads the development and execution of origination, structuring, trading and marketing strategies for 3nergy’s clients. His strategic initiatives include structuring asset management and procurement strategies to manage financial and operational exposures for clients. Previously, he was instrumental in developing gas trading and marketing strategies across Canada.

As the President & CEO of the Association of Power Producers of Ontario (APPrO) from 2004 to 2024, David has been at the forefront of representing major power producers, championing stakeholder policies, and driving organizational transformation.
Dave's career highlights include directing APPrO’s involvement in significant regulatory consultations and hearings with the OEB and the NEB (now the CER), and advocating for a number of IESO procurement and market issues, including the market renewal project. His tenure at Hill & Knowlton Canada as Vice President of Public Affairs saw him providing pivotal public affairs counsel and spearheading initiatives that significantly influenced client energy concerns.
His profound impact on the energy sector is marked by his adeptness at building consensus, influencing policy, and enhancing stakeholder communication across various platforms.
